PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how CyberSec360 Australia ("we", "us" or "our") collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). It applies to our website www.cybersec360.au, our services, and our marketing — including advertising we run on platforms such as Google and LinkedIn.
1. What we collect
- Information you give us — name, business email, phone number, company and role when you submit our contact form, request a quote or engage our services.
- Information collected automatically — IP address, browser and device details, pages visited and referral source, collected via cookies and similar technologies.
- Advertising and analytics data — how you interact with our ads and website, via tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads and the LinkedIn Insight Tag.
2. Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiries and deliver our services;
- To send you relevant communications where you have agreed to receive them;
- To measure and improve our website and advertising on Google and LinkedIn;
- To meet our legal obligations and protect our systems and clients.
3. Cookies and advertising technologies
We use essential cookies to run the website, analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how it is used, and advertising cookies (Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight Tag) to deliver and measure relevant advertising and build audiences for retargeting.
You can control cookies in your browser settings and opt out of personalised advertising via Google Ad Settings and your LinkedIn advertising preferences.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We may share it with:
- Service providers who support our operations (hosting, email, CRM, analytics and advertising platforms including Google and LinkedIn);
- Technology vendors, where you ask us about a specific product and a vendor response is needed;
- Regulators or law enforcement where required by Australian law.
Some providers process data outside Australia (for example, in the United States). Where this occurs we take reasonable steps, as required by APP 8, to ensure your information is handled consistently with the APPs.
5. Security and retention
Security is our business. We apply appropriate technical and organisational controls to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, and we retain it only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.
6. Data breaches
If a data breach involving your personal information is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
7. Access, correction and complaints
You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, opt out of marketing at any time, or make a privacy complaint by contacting us using the details below. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the OAIC at oaic.gov.au.
